Eva Amsler Recital and Master Class Nov. 24 & 25

Ellen C. Johnson, Adjunct Professor of Flute at Concordia University, is proud to announce a flute recital and master class with Professor Eva Amsler from Florida State University on November 24th and 25th.

Prof. Amsler will perform in recital on Monday, November 24, at 7:00 p.m., at Concordia University Chapel, Building A. This recital is free and open to the public. (Prof. Amsler has graciously invited Austin Flute Club members to join her for dinner after the recital at Kerbey Lane Cafe off of 183 and Anderson Mill Rd.).

Additionally, Prof. Amsler will lead a master class on Tuesday, November 25, from 4-5:30 p.m., at Concordia University Building B, Room 226. Admission to the master class as an audience member is free.

Ellen Johnson, professor of flute at Concordia University, is giving a recital Monday, November 10th at 7:30pm in the Concordia University Chapel. Dr. Patricia Griggs and Jonathan Dotson will contribute their talents on piano and guitar respectively. Works by Colquhoun, Doppler, Handel and Piazzolla will be performed. Admission is free.

Reminder- High School All-State Music Workshop

Attention Austin-area flute teachers and high school flutists: The Austin Flute Club is hosting a High School All-State Music Workshop. UT DMA candidates Joanna Martin and Francois Minaux have kindly donated their services to lead this event. The only requirement to participate in this 2-hour flute workshop is an Austin Flute Club student-level membership. If you have not already joined, then please plan on filling out an application and paying your $15 dues during the registration period just before the workshop begins.
