C. An opportunity to learn about flute, even if you will not be playing region etudes

5. How much does it cost?
A. Free for Current AFC members (Students may join or renew for the 2010-2011 year for $15) Payment at the door or online at www.austinfluteclub.com is welcome!

Brannen Flutes visit UT Austin




One of the Austin Flute Club's goals is to promote flute 'happenings' in the Austin and Central Texas area.


We have recently learned that Brannen Flutes will be visiting the University of Texas at Austin this Tuesday! The event is open to the public. Flutes and Headjoints will be available for attendees to try.

*Austin Flute Club membership is required for participants ($15 for students). Students can either send in their membership and dues prior to the event or register that day. Students should bring their flute and/or piccolo, the three region etudes, paper for notes and a pencil.

Austin Flute Club Geared Up for 2010-2011


This year's calendar will include many of the wonderful educational, teaching, and performing opportunities as in years past, and also incorporate some new elements.

Masterclasses:
High School All-State Etude Masterclass - Sunday, October 24, 2PM @ Concordia University
Other masterclasses will soon be added to our calendar.

Competition:
Young Artist Competition (2011 date TBA). Music selections and Competition application will be posted soon: Junior Division for grades 8-9, and Senior Division for grades 10-12.
